Calypso Secrets
“Calypso Secrets” is a one-night-only, admission-by-donation performance created and performed by Smith, with fellow dancers Dawn Ward, Asia MacMillan, and Jessica Burrett, and live music from singer Keirrah Titus, drummer Chavez Edgecombe and DJ Jane Blaze. These seven artists are collaborating to present a dynamic performance celebrating music and dance traditions of the Caribbean. Smith’s choreography fuses modern, jazz, African and funk styles, and will be accompanied by live and recorded music drawing upon Afro-Caribbean, Latin, funk, reggae and jazz selections.

Pounding The Pavement
Tropic Beauty/Movement in the Mist embraced qualities of love, beauty, sensuality, and fertility, this dance performance will merge deeply rooted West African and Bahamian traditions, including a twist o BlackMagic Flare. Performed by Reequal Smith, Dawn Ward and Asia MacMillian

Calypso Secrets Reboot
Presented by The Guild, Oshun’s showcase will bring forth voices that will be demonstrated through dance and sound; while incorporating a Caribbean Twist of culture and diversity. Music with tropical calypso rhythms and beats, embracing Oshun’s premise revealing that a goddess is very much alive in all women as it was brought into existence to bring life back into humanity.Thematically, the performance will celebrate the power, beauty, sexuality and strength of women, acknowledging the goddesses living inside each of us.

DiverseCity @Home Festival 2020
DiverseCity@Home will bring many elements that DiverseCity is known for—performances, demonstrations, and even delicious ethnic food—into Island homes via TV and online streaming to celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day.The DiverseCity@Home Festival broadcast will feature musical performances, dance, demonstrations and cultural information. “It’s a chance to bring the festival from the street into Island homes.

"Euphoria- A Rainbow in the Sky" will glorify goddesses and kings who are revealed in a moment of intense social change - a moment within our glow in the spectrum of human connection in a continuum of our most precious possessions; to bring forth the color of euphoric self-realization, stories, beauty, music and culture that corresponds with every shade. We are euphoric, our essence is rooted with the swish in our hips and vibration of the goat skin.
